UPDATE FROM DESOTO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Garrett Edwards is currently in the custody of DCSO and going through the booking process.

For the past several days an active search for fugitive Garrett Cole Edwards has been underway by the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, Arcadia Police Department and Florida Highway Patrol.
We are now asking for the community to join in and help us locate him. Edwards is wanted on second and third degree charges stemming from a DUI traffic crash resulting in injury and death.
The Florida Highway Patrol previously competed their investigation and submitted the case to the State Attorney for review. The State Attorney issued a Capias (state warrant) for Garrett Cole Edwards.
Again, we are asking for your assistance in locating this individual to hold him accountable for these charges.
