In 2021, 11,813 passenger vehicle occupants killed in crashes were not wearing seat belts. Among the young adults (18 to 34) killed, 59% were unbuckled — one of the highest percentages for all age groups (https://www.nhtsa.gov/campaign/click-it-or-ticket)
Beginning tomorrow May 22nd through June 4th members of the Arcadia Police Department along with many other Florida law enforcement agencies will be enforcing seat belt violations to the fullest. Marshal Jones would like to remind all drivers and passengers (adults and children) to save your money and more importantly your life by simply wearing your seat belt.
