Future Road Improvements –
DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. (4/28/2025) – There will be a virtual public meeting and an in-person public meeting held by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to discuss proposed interim safety improvements between US 17 and CR 761 (Lettuce Lake). The proposed improvements will reduce intersection backups by adding U-turns.
The virtual meeting can be joined by dialing +1 (319) 423-3625 and entering the passcode 754-291-120 when it’s prompted. This meeting will be in listen-only mode; however, callers can submit comments by emailing [email protected].
An in-person public meeting will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Turner Agri-Civic Center, located at 2250 NE Roan Street, Arcadia, FL 34266. This meeting will be an open house format from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This meeting will allow community engagement to speak with project team members and submit comments or questions.
