Monday will bring scattered showers and storms, mainly before midafternoon, with heat index values reaching a dangerous 101 at the coast and near 103 inland. If you’re working outside, running errands, or caring for elderly family members, take extra precautions to stay cool and hydrated. For boaters and beachgoers, conditions remain hazardous with a Small Craft Advisory in effect through Tuesday evening and high rip current risk along the beaches through Monday night.
The transition comes quickly. By Tuesday afternoon, rain chances drop significantly, and Wednesday ushers in mostly sunny, drier conditions across Sarasota, Bradenton, and the broader Suncoast area. From Thursday through Saturday, the weather pattern shifts to hotter and quieter, with inland temperatures climbing into the upper 90s by Friday and Saturday. Overnight lows will settle in the mid-to-upper 70s, offering little relief from the heat. While afternoon isolated storms aren’t completely ruled out, the overall trend is much more stable and predictable.
