Ring footage shows one of the teens landing the kick before both ran off to a red truck with a custom-looking license plate. The door was custom-built, so it has to be completely remade. The estimate? Roughly $10,000.
The woman inside heard the bang and armed herself, unsure whether someone was breaking in or a car had crashed into the house. Phoenix Police took a criminal damage report and believe the incident could be connected to the viral “Door Kick Challenge” spreading on social media. Police are asking the public for help identifying the teens, and they warn that what looks like a prank can lead to charges for disorderly conduct, criminal damage, or trespassing.
