Sarasota County Voters: Mail Your Ballot by October 27 or Use One of These Drop-Off Sites

Sarasota County voters planning to vote by mail for the November 3 general election should get their ballots in the mail no later than October 27, according to Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner. That deadline ensures ballots arrive at the elections office by 7 p.m. on Election Day. Each return envelope requires one Forever stamp or 82 cents in postage, a small but critical detail that causes ballots to be returned to sender every election cycle.

For voters who prefer to skip the mail, Sarasota County offers several in-person options. Secure drop-off stations are available at county elections offices during regular business hours through Election Day. Additionally, 11 early voting locations will accept ballots from October 19 through November 1, open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. New this year, drop-off sites have been added at North Port Village and Twin Lakes Park, giving north county residents a more convenient option.

Voters can track their ballot status and find full return instructions at SarasotaVotes.gov/Instructions. Whether you’re a year-round resident or a seasonal visitor heading back to the Suncoast, returning your ballot early is the easiest way to make sure your vote counts. Have you mailed your ballot yet?
