Sarasota Breast Cancer Survivor Launches Maison Baché, a Human Hair Wig Company Built on One Promise

For Kendra Baché, the fear came in two waves. First the breast cancer diagnosis, then the thought of losing her hair and walking around in a wig that everyone would instantly recognize as fake. When she looked for quality options locally, she came up short. Her best friend eventually found a premium wig company on the other side of the country, and that first real human hair wig brought Kendra to tears. Relief, not sadness. She finally looked in the mirror and saw herself.

Instead of keeping that discovery to herself, Kendra founded Maison Baché right here in Sarasota. The company offers European, Slavic and kosher human hair with custom hairlines, density, cap, cut and color, so women facing cancer, alopecia or any form of hair loss can choose how they want to look.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which makes this story land even harder for Suncoast families. Kendra’s message is simple: your hair can be one thing you get to choose. If someone in your life is going through treatment, share this with them.

Have you or someone you love navigated hair loss during cancer treatment? We’d love to hear what helped.
