Sarasota Startup Just Baked Serves Hot White Castle Sliders With No Staff

A Sarasota company is quietly behind one of the fastest-growing trends in automated food. Automated Retail Technologies builds Just Baked, a self-contained kiosk that lets customers order, pay, and receive a hot made-to-order meal in under two minutes — with no staff on site and no hours posted.[br] [br] The machine that’s getting the attention is White Castle-branded, serving Classic Cheese, Jalapeño Cheese, and Cheddar Bacon Cheese sliders on demand. The target locations tell the story: hospitals, airports, universities, and office buildings, places where a traditional food counter can’t staff up for midnight or a Sunday afternoon. Founder David Chessler and Kevin Harrington, one of the original investors from season one of Shark Tank, recently demonstrated the machine on Suncoast View, and the company says it’s expanding into other brands and outside entrepreneurs.[br] [br] For the Suncoast, this is local entrepreneurship in a category that’s changing fast. Anyone who’s spent a long night in a hospital waiting room or landed at SRQ after the concourse shut down knows the gap these machines are built for. The company’s latest demo happened right here, and the next version of the platform could carry any brand that wants in — including local ones.[br] [br] So we want to hear it: where on the Suncoast would you actually use one of these?
