Authorities in Overland, Missouri, near St. Louis, are asking for the public’s help locating seven-year-old Dylan Fernando Zendejas-Gonzalez. The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an Endangered Person Advisory after Dylan left home around 1:30 p.m. Sunday with his mother, 28-year-old Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez-Sanchez. Police say she is at least three months pregnant and believed to be in a mental health crisis, and personal belongings were left behind at the family home.

On Wednesday, the Overland Police Department released new photos showing Dylan and his mother at a park on Sunday, giving investigators a clearer picture of their movements. The images are now circulating widely in hopes that someone recognizes the pair or recalls seeing them that afternoon.

Endangered Person Advisories are issued when law enforcement believes a person may be in danger, and public awareness is often the difference in these searches. If you have family or friends in the St. Louis area, share this story with them. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call 911. What would you want people to know if your family needed help like this?
