A jawbone and teeth discovered on a rock at Warnimont Park in Cudahy, Wisconsin have been confirmed as belonging to Sade Robinson, the 19-year-old who disappeared after a first date in April 2024. Her mother, Sheena Scarbrough, announced the identification at a Thursday news conference, and the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed testing matched the remains. Maxwell Anderson, the man she went out with that night, was convicted in June 2025 of killing and dismembering her. Investigators said he scattered her remains around Milwaukee County and burned her car to conceal evidence. He is serving life in prison without the possibility of extended supervision.

The identification closes one more painful chapter for a family that has waited more than two years. Robinson’s case drew national attention as a cautionary story about dating safety, and it continues to resonate with parents and grandparents here on the Suncoast who worry about the young people in their lives navigating first dates, dating apps, and meeting strangers.

For families in our Gulf Coast communities, the practical takeaways are simple: share your location with someone you trust, tell a friend who you’re meeting and where, check in during the date, and never feel obligated to stay in a situation that feels wrong. Those small habits can matter. Our condolences go out to Sade Robinson’s family and everyone who loved her. What’s one safety habit you’ve encouraged in your own family? Let us know in the comments.
