A NORTH PORT MAN WAS ARRESTED MONDAY AFTER SELLING DRUGS TO UNDERCOVER NARCOTICS DETECTIVES TWICE WITHIN THE LAST WEEK. CHARLOTTE COUNTY DEPUTIES SAY 30 YEAR OLD MARCUS BURSON ALLEGEDLY FIRST SOLD THE OXYCODONE PILLS BACK ON JULY 27TH; THEN HE ARRANGED TO SELL MORE ON MONDAY IN THE WINN DIXIE PARKING LOT IN THE PROMINADES MALL, WHICH IS WHERE THE SHERIFF’S DISTRICT OFFICE IS LOCATED. WHEN THE MONDAY PURCHASE WAS COMPLETED, DETECTIVES ARRESTED BURSON AND CHARGED HIM WITH TWO FELONY COUNTS OF TRAFFICKING IN OXYCODONE AND ONE COUNT OF POSSESSION OF OXYCODONE. HE IS BEING HELD ON $52,500 DOLLARS BOND IN THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL. IT’S BURSON’S 11TH BOOKING WITH 13 RECORDS IN CHARLOTTE COUNTY ALONE.
