SARASOTA COUNTY DEPUTIES SAY THEY’VE ARRESTED THE MAN WHO ROBBED THE BANK OF AMERICA BRANCH AT 3600 BEE RIDGE ROAD ON MONDAY AFTERNOON. THEY SAY 20 YEAR OLD JOSHUA PAWELSKI WAS EASILY IDENTIFIABLE IN SURVEILANCE PHOTOS AND VIDEO AFTER HE WENT INTO THE BANK TWICE MONDAY; THE FIRST TIME TO ASK A QUESTION, AND THE SECOND TO HAND A TELLER A NOTE DEMANDING MONEY AND SAYING HE HAD A BOMB. DETECTIVES SAY HE WAS IDENTIFIED BY WITNESSES IN A PHOTO LINE-UP AND HIS FINGERPRINTS WERE ALL OVER THE DEPOSIT SLIP THAT HE GAVE TO THE TELLER. PAWELSKI WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AT HIS INGRAM AVENUE HOME IN SARASOTA WITHOUT INCIDENT, CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF BANK ROBBERY. HE IS BEING HELD IN THE SARASOTA COUNTY JAIL.
