A NOKOMIS FAMILY IS HITTING THE STREETS LOOKING FOR AN URN THAT WAS STOLEN FROM A HOME ALONG WITH JEWELRY AND SILVERWARE NEARLY TWO WEEKS AGO. SCOTT GROVER’S HOME WAS BURGLARIZED ON SEPTEMBER 17TH, AND THE BURGLAR OR BURGLARS TOOK THE CREMATED REMAINS OF HIS WIFE OF 55 YEARS ELAINE, ALONG WITH THE OTHER ITEMS. DETECTIVES SAY THEY HAVE SEVERAL GOOD LEADS, INCLUDING THAT OF A VEHICLE THAT WAS IN THE DRIVEWAY THAT DAY, BUT THE FAMILY IS BEING PROACTIVE. THEY HAVE BEEN HITTING PAWN SHOPS ALL OVER THE SOUTHWEST PLEX, GIVING PICTURES OF THE UNUSUAL JEWELRY THAT WAS TAKEN IN HOPES IT WILL LEAD THEM TO ELAINE’S REMAINS. THE FAMILY IS EVEN OFFERING A REWARD FOR ANY INFORMATION LEADING TO THE URN AND THE RETURN OF ITS CONTENTS.
