A SARASOTA MAN WAS ARRESTED TUESDAY NIGHT AFTER BEING ACCUSED OF MOLESTING A TEEN. DEPUTIES SAY THE FOURTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL TOLD OFFICIALS AT HER SCHOOL THAT SHE HAD BEEN TOUCHED INAPPROPRIATELY BY 60 YEAR OLD KENNETH CANTON ON AT LEAST FIVE OCCASIONS IN THE PAST YEAR, THE MOST RECENT BEING EARLIER THIS MONTH. THE CHILD WAS REPORTEDLY IN THE FOSTER CARE OF CANTON. THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WAS NOTIFIED AND REMOVED THE GIRL FROM THIS HOME AND PLACED HER WITH ANOTHER FOSTER FAMILY. CANTON WAS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF LEWD AND LASCIVIOUS MOLESTATION. HE POSTED A $20,000 DOLLAR BOND AND WAS RELEASED FROM THE SARASOTA COUNTY JAIL TUESDAY NIGHT.
