A MOTORCYCLIST WAS KILLED AFTER HE CRASHED HIS BIKE INTO A CAR. THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 26 YEAR OLD CHRISTOPHER FARR OF SARASOTA WAS WESTBOUND ON BEE RIDGE ROAD APPROACHING THE INTERSECTION OF WAKE AVENUE JUST BEFORE NOON SATURDAY WHEN HE CROSSED THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINE TO PASS A CAR MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN THAT WAS DRIVEN BY 25 YEAR OLD MARIA WIETERS OF SARASOTA. IN AN ATTEMPT TO AVOID THE TOYOTA PRIUS, FARR APPLIED HIS BRAKES HARD, LEAVING A TWENTY FOOT SKID MARK ON THE ROADWAY BEFORE IMPACT. FARR WAS EJECTED AND CAME TO REST IN THE INTERSECTION. HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE WHILE WIETERS WAS TAKEN TO DOCTORS HOSPITAL WITH MINOR INJURIES. TROOPERS SAY FARR WAS WEARING A HELMET AND WIETERS WAS WEARING HER SEAT BELT. NO CHARGES WILL BE FILED.
