THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WILL BE STEPPING UP TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS THIS WEEK. SPEED LIMITS WILL BE ENFORCED ON THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF GULFSTREAM BLVD IN EAST ENGLEWOOD AND THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF EDGEWATER DRIVE IN PORT CHARLOTTE. TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND STOP SIGNS WILL BE ENFORCED AT THE INTERSECTION OF US 41 AND PORT CHARLOTTE BLVD IN PORT CHARLOTTE AND ALSO AT STATE ROAD 776 AND BEACH ROAD IN ENGLEWOOD. AS ALWAYS, THESE LOCATIONS ARE CHOSEN BASED ON ACCIDENT HISTORY AND DRIVER COMPLAINTS.
