Fishermens Village in Punta Gorda is making a comeback in style after a year-long battle against the elements and the complexities of insurance. Once an iconic hub for shopping, dining, and boating, this waterfront treasure faltered under hurricane damage but is now back on the market, much to the delight of locals and tourists alike.
Implemented repairs and leasing successes have breathed new life into the space, poised to attract fresh investment. With nearly 92,000 square feet of retail space, five bustling restaurants, and a marina with 142 slips, now’s the time to dive into the potential Fishermens Village has to offer.
Ashley Bloom from SVN Commercial Partners is at the helm of a new call-for-offers process, running until February 27. The previous round attracted nearly 100 interested buyers, and with insurance issues sorted and all retail spaces leased, there’s a renewed sense of optimism. So, will we see a new owner who appreciates this community-centric destination? Here’s hoping it’s not just a passing wave!
