Enter Mobwives Salon, a beacon of hope that’s transforming the prom experience one dress at a time. With their second annual Prom Glam Giveaway, the salon offers free prom dresses—no strings attached. From shimmering gowns to trendy shifts, they provide local students with the chance to strut their stuff on prom night without the hefty price tag.
Owner Candace Giunta started this initiative from experience. With four daughters of her own, she understands the struggle of finding the perfect dress for an event that’s often a once-in-a-lifetime affair. She and her team created an uplifting shopping experience, complete with cheers and supportive staff to help students find their dream dress. And let’s not overlook the heartwarming fact that last year only about six students participated—this year, the number has soared to around 40!
But the glam doesn’t stop there. Next door, Wiseguys Barber Shop is doing their part, ensuring that young men are also looking sharp and feeling confident for prom. This collaboration highlights the community spirit and how local businesses can genuinely come together to support one another during important times, proving that every student deserves their moment to shine.
