BayFest Turns 25: Anna Maria Island’s Beloved Fall Festival Returns October 17

BayFest is hitting a milestone. The 25th Annual BayFest takes over Pine Avenue in the City of Anna Maria on Saturday, October 17, 2026, running from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce organizes the free festival, which has grown into one of the island’s signature fall events over a quarter century.

This year’s lineup includes live music all day, a classic car show, local vendors, food trucks, and beer and wine. The full entertainment schedule and vendor list haven’t been released yet, but organizers say more details on vendors, sponsors and entertainment are coming closer to the event. The Chamber is encouraging residents and visitors to make a day of it and support the independently owned shops and restaurants that give Pine Avenue its character.

If you’re planning to go, plan your travel too. Traffic on and around Pine Avenue gets heavy during BayFest, so allow extra time and check MAT bus and trolley schedules as an alternative to driving. Whether you’re a longtime local or a snowbird who’s never made it out, the 25th anniversary is a good year to finally see what the fuss is about.

Will you be heading to BayFest this year, and what are you most looking forward to?
