If you tried to grab Brewers World Series watch party tickets Thursday morning, you already know how it went. Tickets for the Games 3 and 4 watch parties at American Family Field went on sale at 10 a.m. for $15 each and sold out within minutes. The watch parties are scheduled for Monday, Oct. 26, and Tuesday, Oct. 27, while the Brewers play the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg.
Demand didn’t stop at the box office. By early Thursday afternoon, single Game 3 tickets were listed on StubHub for as low as $97, more than six times the original price. The merch rush hit hard too: the Team Store at American Family Field closed Thursday to restock World Series gear, and both team stores stayed closed Friday morning before reopening to ticketed fans at Game 1.
Missed out on tickets? Plenty of Suncoast bars and restaurants will have the games on, and a backyard watch party with neighbors costs a lot less than $97. Where’s your favorite spot to catch a big game around here? Tell us in the comments.
