DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit Investigation Leads To Arrest

Throughout October 2023, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit focused efforts on 4577 NW Highland Street in Arcadia and Curtis Marks. Conducting several purchases of illegal narcotics at the residence.
On November 2, 2023, our dedicated detectives secured a search warrant for the residence, and on November 3, 2023, our Investigative Bureau detectives executed the search. Curtis Marks was found at the residence along with illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia and a substantial amount of cash. ???? Here’s what was discovered:
– 35.55 grams of methamphetamine
– 6 Suboxone strips
– 3 Xanax pills
– 3 Alprazolam pills
– 2.22 grams of marijuana
During our investigation, it was clear that efforts were made to dispose of evidence. A plastic bag was discovered in the bathroom toilet, attempted to be flushed upon our arrival.
Curtis Marks is now our guest at the DeSoto County Jail, with quite the list of charges against him. We’re talking trafficking in meth, possession with intent to sell or deliver, tampering with evidence and more!
