Belinda Prentice, a 71-year-old grandmother from Franklin Township, New Jersey, was last seen around 6 p.m. on October 5th near Bamburgh Court, off New Brunswick Road and Willow Avenue. More than three weeks have passed without a sighting, and her family is asking the public for help. According to her granddaughter, Sienna Benjamin, Prentice had shown signs of cognitive decline in recent years, and the family was working to determine whether she had dementia while pursuing guardianship.
Police and relatives are urging residents in the area to review doorbell and security camera footage from the evening of October 5th. Even a brief clip of someone walking past could help investigators piece together where Prentice went after leaving home. Anyone with information is asked to call Franklin Township Police at 732-873-2300.
For Suncoast families, this story is a reminder of how quickly a routine walk can turn into an emergency, and how much neighbors watching out for one another matters, especially for older loved ones. If you have connections in that part of New Jersey, share this. Do you have a system in place to keep tabs on the seniors in your life?
