The Tampa Bay Rays are still playing baseball. Ben Williamson’s bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 12th gave the Rays a 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers in World Series Game 4 at Tropicana Field, tying the series and forcing a decisive Game 5.
The night was a grind. Milwaukee held the Rays in check for most of the game and finally took its first lead in the top of the 12th on a Cooper Pratt RBI. Randy Arozarena answered with a single to tie it, setting the stage for Williamson’s walk-off to right. Williamson said afterward it’s the moment he dreamed about as a kid playing wiffle ball in the backyard.
Game 5 is back at the Trop, with Drew Rasmussen scheduled for Tampa Bay and Jacob Misiorowski for Milwaukee. For Suncoast fans who split their loyalties between the Rays and their spring training teams from up north, this is October baseball worth staying up for. Who are you backing in Game 5?
