The inaugural Suncoast Cornhole Classic takes over the Bradenton Area Convention Center from September 18th through the 20th, and organizers expect hundreds of players from across Florida and beyond. The three-day tournament includes women’s, juniors, seniors, and a Heroes Division for military members and first responders, plus blind draws, doubles, singles, and skills challenges. Organizer Dustin Hoffman says the format was designed to welcome competitive players and casual players alike, so newcomers shouldn’t hesitate to sign up.
The weekend is about more than bags and boards, though. A benefit raffle with roughly $15,000 in prizes will support Alyssa, a member of the cornhole community battling Stage IV breast cancer. Organizers say donations have come in from across the Suncoast and the wider cornhole world. You don’t need to compete to take part: spectators are welcome, anyone can enter the raffle, and winners don’t have to be present to claim a prize.
