Over in Venice, Wellen Park Farmers Market is open 9 AM to 1 PM. Coquina Beach Market remains closed for the season until October 1, so beach market regulars will need to wait a few more weeks.
For anyone headed to the sand, the water itself is calm: surf under a foot and a low rip current risk. The hazard to watch is lightning. Storms can develop quickly after mid-morning along the coast, so if you hear thunder, get off the beach and into a building or vehicle. Bring more water than you think you need and reapply that sunscreen.
