Toys R Us has opened a standalone store at Ellenton Premium Outlets at 5461 Factory Shops Boulevard, giving families across Manatee and Sarasota counties a dedicated toy destination just ahead of the holiday season. The store follows the outlet’s regular hours: Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday noon to 6 p.m.
The opening is part of a national expansion with Go! Retail Group, which plans to grow the chain’s standalone U.S. footprint to 160 stores by the 2026 holiday season, alongside its shops inside Macy’s. Announced merchandise includes LEGO, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Pokémon and KPop Demon Hunters, but national plans don’t guarantee what’s available at Ellenton on any given day. Extras announced for select locations, like creator spaces, candy shops and cafés, are unconfirmed here.
It’s also not yet clear whether the Ellenton location will operate seasonally or year-round, so shoppers making a special trip should check current hours first by calling the center at 941-723-1150. For parents who grew up with the brand, the appeal is part nostalgia and part convenience: a real toy store between Manatee and Sarasota. Are you planning a visit, or waiting to see how the holiday crowds shake out?
