The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the successful arrest of Richard Lee Campbell on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, as part of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office‘s ‘Operation Paradise City.’

Campbell, a dangerous criminal wanted for selling deadly drugs within our SWFL communities, was apprehended thanks to a tip from a vigilant citizen and swift action by #TeamDCSO detectives and law enforcement deputies.

Within hours of SWFL Crime Stoppers‘ post seeking public assistance, a tip led us to Campbell, who was attempting to flee to Arcadia with plans to continue to Georgia. Working hand in hand with LCSO, our undercover vehicles were strategically positioned along the route, leading to a successful traffic stop and arrest.

During the apprehension, illegal narcotics were also seized, further ensuring the safety of our communities. Sheriff Jim Potter expresses his gratitude for the ongoing partnership with Sheriff Carmine Marceno LCSO, emphasizing how our collaboration continues to make a difference in keeping our neighborhoods safe.
