Today, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Robert Earl Royce, a sexual offender who failed to reregister to comply with FDLE Sexual Offender-Sexual Predator requirements. Our dedicated Criminal Investigative Division (CID) took swift action, conducting a search warrant at 1645 SE West Avenue. Our Narcotics Unit uncovered trafficking amounts of illegal narcotics, seizing 81.4 grams of methamphetamine.

Royce’s illegal activities had far-reaching consequences, and we take these matters very seriously. With the safety of our community at stake, he was promptly arrested and taken into custody, where he is now being held at the DeSoto County Jail.
