The 97th annual Arcadia all Florida championship rodeo kicks off today! 
Sheriff Potter and the Desoto County Sheriff’s Office want to remind everyone to please plan accordingly as traffic will be heavier than usual in the area, especially around highway 17 and State Road 70. If possible, we recommend avoiding these areas to ease congestion.

If possible, we recommend avoiding these areas to ease congestion.As part of our commitment to ensuring everyone’s safety, the DCSO Mobile Command Center will be stationed at the rodeo grounds. Our team of 9-1-1 dispatchers will be working closely with law enforcement to ensure safe and secure environment for for everyone attending. You can also spot our civilian staff members at our community outreach table!
If you plan to attend the rodeo, remember to have a fantastic time, but prioritize your safety! Let’s make this rodeo weekend unforgettable for all the right reasons!!
