ARCADIA, Fla. – An Arcadia man has claimed a $1 million top prize from a scratch-off lottery ticket. The Florida lottery officials announced the lucky winner last Friday.
50-year-old Carl Layport is the lucky winner buying his winning ticket from a Circle K gas station at 4347 Southwest Highway 17 in Arcadia.
Layport purchased a ‘$5 Gold Rush Supreme‘ scratch-off and hit the jackpot scoring the $1 million prize.
The 50-year-old decided to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $880,000.
