Armed Robbery Reported at North Port 7-Eleven, Suspect Linked to Multiple Incidents Across Florida
Around 4:00 a.m. Friday, North Port Police responded to a reported armed robbery at the 7-Eleven gas station near Toledo Blade and Cranberry Boulevards.
Investigators say a suspect, described as a Black male wearing a black hoodie, mask, gloves, and sunglasses, entered the store, pointed a firearm at employees, and demanded cash before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.
Authorities believe the suspect then got into a dark-colored sedan and headed south on I-75. Police say similar incidents involving the same suspect or suspects have been reported in multiple jurisdictions to the north throughout Florida.
