A PORT CHARLOTTE MAN WAS ARRESTED WEDNESDAY AFTER TRYING TO BURGLARIZE A HOME WITH SOMEONE INSIDE.  DEPUTIES RECEIVED A CALL ABOUT A BURGLARY IN PROGRESS AT 946 KENWOOD TERRACE FROM THE OWNER OF THE HOME WHO SAID SHE HEARD A KNOCK ON HER FRONT WINDOW.  SHE SLOUCHED DOWN IN AN ATTEMPT TO HIDE WHILE GIVING AUTHORITIES A GOOD DESCRIPTION OF THE MAN.  A NEIGHBOR TOLD DEPUTIES SHE SAW THE MAN, LATER IDENTIFIED AS 29 YEAR OLD ADAM JACKSON, WALK TO THE REAR OF ANOTHER HOME ON KENWOOD TERRACE.  HE THEN WALKED TO THE FRONT DOOR AND KNOCKED.  AFTER CONFIRMING WITH THE OWNER OF THAT HOME THAT THEY WERE NOT EXPECTING ANYONE, THE NEIGHBOR CONFRONTED JACKSON AND ASKED WHAT HE WAS DOING, TO WHICH HE RESPONDED HE WAS SOLICITING.  HE LEFT THE AREA, BUT THE NEIGHBOR GAVE A VERY DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF JACKSON RIGHT DOWN TO THE BLACK GLOVES HE WAS WEARING.  AFTER THE DESCRIPTION WAS BROADCAST, A DEPUTY LOCATED A PURPLE FORD RANGER PARKED ON MENSH TERRACE WITH A MAN INSIDE PASSED OUT THAT MATCHED THE DESCRIPTION.  THE DEPUTY SAW THE PAIR OF BLACK GLOVES ON THE SEAT ALONG WITH A SYRINGE IN THE CUP HOLDER AND FIVE OXYCODONE PILLS.  WITNESSES CAME BY AND POSITIVELY IDENTIFIED JACKSON, WHO WAS AWAKENED AND TAKEN INTO CUSTODY ON FOUR CHARGES, INCLUDING BURGLARY AND POSSESSION OF OXYCODONE.  HIS PICKUP WAS SEIZED FOR FORFEITURE AND HE IS BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND IN THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL. THIS IS HIS 20TH BOOKING.
