DeSoto County Celebrates National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day
DeSoto County, FL – Today marks National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, a time to recognize the dedicated School Resource Deputies (SRDs) of the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office for their invaluable contributions to local schools.
These deputies do far more than ensure school safety—they act as mentors, role models, and trusted allies for students, fostering a secure and supportive learning environment. Their presence provides reassurance to parents, teachers, and students alike, creating a positive impact beyond law enforcement.
