DeSoto County Emergency Management Announces Opening of Overnight Warming Center

Due to forecasted cold weather conditions, a temporary overnight warming center will be activated for those in need of shelter from the cold.

Date: Tuesday, December 30, 2025

Opening Time: 8:00 PM

Closing Time: 8:00 AM (December 31, 2025)

Note: The center will close early if no members of the public arrive by 11:00 PM December 30, 2025.

• This facility provides a warm, safe environment during extreme cold.

• Limited services will be available, including seating and access to restrooms.

• No provisions (food, blankets, etc.) are currently available—please bring any personal items you may need.

Pets may not be accommodated unless service animals. For emergencies, dial 911.
