HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE SHED CLEANOUT –
The DeSoto County Environmental Services Division will be holding a household (residential only) hazardous waste collection day.
LOCATION: HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION BARN
LOCATED AT THE DESOTO COUNTY LANDFILL
3268 SW DISHONG AVENUE, ARCADIA FL, 34266

TIME: 9:00 AM UNTIL 3:00 PM
Items accepted for collection are pesticides/herbicides, Pool Chemicals, Paints, solvents/thinners, muriatic acid, brake fluids, antifreeze, cleaning fluids, and degreasers.
NOTE: Items such as used motor oil can be disposed of during normal working hours (Monday-Saturday 7:30 AM-5:30 PM) free of charge (we accept up to 5 gallons per day).
NO COMMERCIAL OILS ARE ACCEPTED AT ANY TIME.
WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ITEMS SUCH AS INFECTIOUS MATERIALS (MEDICAL WASTE), OR EXPLOSIVES (FIREWORKS, AMMUNITION, FLARES, ETC.)
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SHED CLEANOUT IS FOR HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE ONLY.
