DeSoto County Library Spreads Holiday Cheer with Hot Cocoa, Santa, and Festive Fun
ARCADIA, FL – The DeSoto County Library is inviting the community to stop by this holiday season to enjoy a packed schedule of festive activities, offering everything from cookie decorating with Santa for families to sophisticated holiday crafting for adults.
The library is going the extra mile to sprinkle in some extra cheer, curating a selection of events designed for all ages.
“The Library has it all; books, crafts, holiday movies…..AND SANTA! Curated for families, we are sprinkling in some extra cheer,” a library spokesperson stated.
Events for the Whole Family
The highlight for younger guests is Santa’s Workshop With Santa on December 12 at 3:30 PM, where families can meet the big man, decorate cookies, and build some crafts. Recognizing that meeting Santa can be intimidating for some children, the library has also scheduled a casual Family Christmas Movie on December 20 at 11:00 AM, complete with complimentary Christmas cookies and hot cocoa.
Offerings for Adults
Adults also have unique opportunities to get into the holiday spirit. The library will host a special Crafting for Adults session on December 12 at 11:00 AM, featuring tabletop Scandinavian felt Christmas tree decorating. A separate Movie for Adults is also planned for December 19 at 1:00 PM.
Whether looking for a family outing or a festive activity with friends, the DeSoto County Library is encouraging everyone to visit and help spread the Christmas cheer this season.
