DeSoto County, Florida
The DeSoto County announces the summer programming time. They have partnered with the School District Food Services again this year; and are able to offer our children a free lunch Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Lunch is served at noon in our beautiful oak courtyard. The Library recognizes the hard work of Mz Liz and Mz Tonya, and have quite the lineup of special guests to bring great activities for the summer program. Their success in securing one of the eleven Florida Humanities grants for libraries will certainly enrich the library’s special activities for patrons of all ages.
We also would like to welcome Fran Kovach to our staff. Next time you are here, introduce yourself if you see her. She brings a wealth of library experience with her and we are grateful that she is here just in time for In addition, we owe a huge thank you to the Patterson Foundation and the Community Foundation of
Sarasota County for their marvelous support of the Remake Learning Days activities at the library and
throughout our community. We could not bring you some of the special activities without that support.
