NE Clems Dairy ST at NE Turner Ave will be closed for cross-drain replacement. This will make the road impassable on the listed dates starting at 7:30 am each day. If you need more information please call the Desoto County Road & Bridge Department at 863-993-4821.

Yard debris can NOT be piled up next to the road anymore. The Hurricane Ian debris pick-up contractors are done. You can take the debris to the landfill or schedule your pickup with Womack Sanitation.
Please pass this information along. We don’t want more piles of debris along the roads. Thank you for your help with this matter.

Arcadia Police Department
On February 8, 2023, juvenile, Ryan Watson Jr (15) was arrested and is being charged with the murder of Daniel Rodriguez-Lopez (17).
Marshal Jones would like to recognize the lead investigators Assistant Marshal Evans and Lt. Carrillo, DeSoto County Sheriffs Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), and the entire Arcadia Police Department for their diligent efforts in solving this case. Marshal Jones would also like to thank the public for their assistance, and coming forward with any information they may have had.
The Rodriguez – Lopez family remains in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of losing their loved one.
This case remains active, and is still being investigated.
