DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office K9 Helps In Narcotics Arrest

On Monday, June 6, 2022, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit was conducting surveillance on a nuisance drug residence in the area of Sugar Babe Road. After observing multiple vehicles leaving the residence at the same time, Detectives conducted a traffic stop on one of the vehicles for a stop sign violation. A positive K9 alert led Detectives to the location of over 40 grams of Methamphetamine (42.68 to be exact). Monica Jackson, the rear passenger, was arrested for Trafficking in Methamphetamine (28-200 grams), Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell or Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
