DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Makes Major Drug Bust

The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant 6/24/2022 at 5751 SW Charolais Ave, Arcadia, Florida 34266, after an active investigation revealed 9.11 pounds of Marijuana. During the investigation, probable cause was established for the arrest of Linda Stoddard, Daniel Stoddard, and Patsy Matejka. All three were located and arrested during the execution of the search warrant. None of the subjects involved had current medical marijuana identification cards.
Charges are as follows:
· Linda Stoddard – Keep/Maintain Dwell/Place where Controlled Substances are used/kept/sold, Possession of a Controlled Substance w/o Prescription (marijuana over 20 grams), two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana (less than 20 grams).
· Patsy Matejka – Place where controlled substances are illegally kept, sold, or used, Possession of Controlled Substance w/o Prescription (marijuana over 20 grams), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
· Daniel Stoddard – Place where controlled substances are illegally kept, sold, or used, Possession of a Controlled Substance w/o Prescription (marijuana over 20 grams), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Officer w/o Violence, and Possession of Marijuana with intent to sell or deliver.
