DeSoto County to Hold 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
Arcadia, FL – DeSoto County Fire Rescue will host a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 9:00 AM on the DeSoto County Courthouse lawn. This event marks the 23rd anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
Key attendees will include DeSoto County Fire Chief Chad Jorgensen and his staff, Sheriff James Potter and members of the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, Marshal Quin Jones from the Arcadia Police Department and his staff, along with Commander Ron Jones from The American Legion Honor Guard Post #11 and Terry Stewart from Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2824. Arcadia City Administrator Lonnie Walker, Pastor of Nocatee Church, will also participate.
The community is encouraged to attend, and attendees are welcome to bring family, friends, or colleagues.
