DeSoto Sheriff’s Office Joins ESE Parent Resource Fair with New SAFE Program Initiative
We’re excited to announce our participation in the DeSoto County School District’s ESE Parent Resource Fair! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 10th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Family Service Center, located at 310 W. Whidden St., Arcadia, FL 34266.
At the event, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office will introduce families to our new SAFE Program initiative. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enroll in this vital program in person during the event.
The SAFE Program is a voluntary local registry created by the Florida Legislature to assist law enforcement and first responders in responding effectively and compassionately to individuals with special needs, unique abilities, or specific behavioral attributes. By providing critical information in advance, the program aims to ensure a safer and more informed response during emergencies or encounters.
