A DEEP CREEK MAN WAS ARRESTED YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY THREATENED TO BLOW UP HIS CHILD’S SCHOOL.  THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECEIVED A CALL JUST BEFORE 12:30PM THAT A DISGRUNTLED PARENT, 28 YEAR OLD JASON BEACH, WENT TO DEEP CREEK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO REMOVE HIS CHILD FOR A HEALTH DEPARTMENT APPOINTMENT AT THE REQUEST OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.  THE SCHOOL HAD REPORTED THAT THE CHILD HAD A BURN MARK ON ITS ARM, AND WHEN BEACH FOUND OUT ABOUT IT, HE THREATENED TO BLOW UP THE SCHOOL WHILE THE CHILDREN WERE OFF CAMPUS.  THE SCHOOL’S PRINCIPAL SAID SHE HAD LEGITIMATE CONCERN ABOUT BEACH’S THREAT SINCE SHE KNEW HIM TO BE HOSTILE AND AGGRESSIVE FROM PREVIOUS ENCOUNTERS.  BEACH WAS PREVIOUSLY TRESPASSED FROM PEACE RIVER ELEMENTARY FOR BEING AGGRESSIVE AND HOSTILE TO STAFF THERE.  THE SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER AND TWO OTHER DEPUTIES WENT TO BEACH’S HOME AND TALKED TO HIM.  HE CLAIMED HE WAS JOKING, BUT DEPUTIES STILL ARRESTED BEACH AND CHARGED HIM WITH THREAT TO DISCHARGE A DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE.  HE IS BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND IN THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL, AND DCF CONTINUES TO INVESTIGATE THE INJURIES TO THE CHILD.
