Drowsy Driver Awareness Day

DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office is recognizing #DrowsyDriverAwarenessDay by encouraging you to raise awareness of the harmful impacts of sleep deprivation.
The best way to offset drowsiness while driving is to STOP at the slightest hint of drowsiness. Pull over at an exit on long road trips and give yourself time to rest. It is recommended you should take a two-hour break for every 100 miles driven.
