AN ENGLEWOOD MAN ARRESTED IN JUNE ON CHILD NEGLECT CHARGES AFTER HIS 2 YEAR OLD SON WAS FOUND WANDERING ON MARYKNOLL ROAD WAS ARRESTED AGAIN LAST THURSDAY AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY THREATENED A WITNESS IN THE CASE. CHARLOTTE COUNTY DEPUTIES SAY 34 YEAR OLD JOHN TWOMBLY WAS CHARGED WITH TAMPERING WITH A WITNESS AFTER HE CONFRONTED THE WITNESS IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE WINN DIXIE ON SOUTH MCCALL ROAD. TWOMBLY ALLEGEDLY SWUNG HIS FIST AT THE VICTIM, WHICH WAS NOT IDENTIFIED BY DEPUTIES TO PROTECT THEIR IDENTITY. THE WITNESS SAID A MAN PULLED TWOMBLY INTO HIS WHITE VAN, AND AS THEY DROVE AWAY, TWOMBLY MOCKING POINTED HIS FINGER AS A GUN AT HIS HEAD AND PULLED THE TRIGGER. TWOMBLY THEN REPORTEDLY CALLED THE WITNESS AT THEIR HOME AND TOLD THEM “I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE.” TWOMBLY WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AT A PLACIDA ROAD RESIDENCE AND AFTER BEING PROCESSED POSTED A $2500 DOLLAR BOND AND WAS RELEASED FROM THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL.
