THE MAN ACCUSED OF KILLING AN ENGLEWOOD STORE OWNER LAST DECEMBER WILL SPEND THE NEXT FORTY YEARS IN PRISON.  34 YEAR OLD JAMES BESAW PLEADED NO CONTEST TO CHARGES OF SECOND-DEGREE MURDER AND ARMED ROBBERY IN THE DEATH OF 64 YEAR OLD JEFFREY MAZUR.  INVESTIGATORS SAY BESAW ADMITTED TO BEATING MAZUR WITH A HAMMER INSIDE MAZUR’S ANTIQUE SHOP FOLLOWING A DISPUTE OVER SOME COINS THAT BESAW HAD PAWNED EARLIER.  IF CONVICTED BY A JURY AT TRIAL, BESAW COULD HAVE FACED LIFE IN PRISON.  UPON COMPLETION OF HIS PRISON SENTENCE, BESAW WILL SPEND THE REST OF HIS LIFE ON PROBATION.
