FDEM to Host Application Assistance Sessions for Home Mitigation Program in Charlotte County

Charlotte County residents looking for guidance on protecting their homes from flooding and severe storms can take advantage of upcoming assistance sessions hosted by the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM).

FDEM’s Elevate program, a statewide residential mitigation initiative, offers financial and structural support to help homeowners safeguard their properties from natural disasters. Residents impacted by storms such as Hurricane Debby and Hurricane Milton are encouraged to attend.

The in-person sessions will take place at Tringali Community Center (3460 N. Access Road, Englewood) from March 19 to March 21, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Attendees will receive guidance on eligibility requirements, available mitigation projects, and application assistance.

Educational presentations will be held daily at noon and 5 p.m. for those seeking additional insights.

The program is open to legal property owners of various residential properties, including single-family homes, multi-family homes, apartment buildings, manufactured and mobile homes, and condominiums.

For those unable to attend in person, online educational sessions are also available. Interested participants can register [here].
