FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance Teams Arrive in DeSoto County to Aid Residents
Arcadia, FL — In the wake of recent disasters impacting Southwest Florida, FEMA is setting up a vital support center at the DeSoto County Library to help residents access disaster relief. Starting Tuesday, FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) teams will be on-site, providing crucial assistance to anyone affected by the recent events. The teams will operate through Friday, available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will also be open on Saturday with adjusted hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
These dedicated teams are on hand to register residents for FEMA’s disaster assistance programs, answer questions, and offer essential information about resources available to help residents recover. Assistance includes help with applying for federal aid, understanding eligibility requirements, and navigating the steps for filing claims related to damage and losses.
