FOUR SARASOTA TEENAGERS WERE KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 19 YEAR OLD SEAN LEONARD WAS EASTBOUND ON WILKINSON ROAD EAST OF CAYO GRANDE DRIVE JUST BEFORE 5:30AM WHEN HE LOST CONTROL OF HIS CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND SPUN OUT.  HE CONTINUED THROUGH THE WESTBOUND LANES OF WILKINSON AND LEFT THE ROADWAY WHILE CROSSING MARCOTT CIRCLE, COLLIDING WITH A CINDER BLOCK WALL ON THE NORTH SHOULDER OF WILKINSON.  THE COLLISION CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO ROLL ONTO ITS RIGHT SIDE WHERE IT CAME TO REST AGAINST THE WALL.  LEONARD, HIS SISTER 14 YEAR OLD JESSICA LEONARD, 19 YEAR OLD ANDREW MONROE, AND 15 YEAR OLD KELLY JANIS WERE ALL PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE.  ONE PUBLISHED REPORT SAYS THAT SEAN AND ANDREW WERE IN YBOR CITY SATURDAY NIGHT CELEBRATING SEAN’S 19TH BIRTHDAY, BUT TROOPERS SAY ALCOHOL WAS NOT A FACTOR IN THE ACCIDENT.
