A free workshop aimed at high school juniors and seniors will take place on September 18th, designed to help students develop the skills and confidence needed to write compelling essays for college and scholarship applications. The event, titled “Crafting Your Story – College and Scholarship Application Essay Writing Workshop,” will run from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the South Florida State College (SFSC) DeSoto Campus, located at 2251 NE Turner Ave, Arcadia, FL.
The workshop will offer strategies for writing personal essays, a crucial component of many college and scholarship applications. All attendees will also have the chance to win a $100 gift card, and a free dinner will be provided.
This event is made possible through the generosity of Lighthouse United Methodist Church and the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation.
